Capital Campaign Coordinator 14 Jun

Position Summary
The Capital Campaign Coordinator is a key position within the Development Office that will support and strengthen Covenant Seminary’s current Hope for the Future capital campaign throughout the duration of the campaign. The Coordinator will provide support and leadership in travel coordination, campaign communications, pledge documentation, event planning, and donor relations, among other development-related activities. The Coordinator will help to move the capital campaign from its current initial phase into its public phase and celebrate it upon completion.

Crossroads East Office Manager 1 May

Job Description Principal Function:

The East Campus Office Manager is the central hub of communication for the East Campus of Crossroads Presbyterian Fellowship. As such, the Office Manager needs to provide support for the pastor, staff, officers and congregants as outlined below. The Office Manager also is often the first point of contact with the public and needs the ability to represent Crossroads and its ministries well.

To carry out the following responsibilities, the Office Manager will need to be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various Google applications. They will also need to have or be willing to develop familiarity with InDesign, and web-based communication such as MailChimp. The Office Manager must be able to carry out their assigned tasks in a manner that is consistent with the vision and mission of the church and in the spirit of the Gospel.

Coordinate and Publish Church Communication

• Manage/organize church schedule and various calendars

• Manage mail, e-mails, phone calls, etc.

• Compile and publish weekly Friday E-mail newsletter

• Coordinate other church-wide communication, namely e-mail blasts

• Publish Sunday bulletins for Crossroads East

• Maintain updated contact information for Crossroads East members

• Update content on the church’s website and social media (sermons, news, photos, etc)

Support Pastor

• Coordinate logistics for Sunday mornings including liturgists, elder prayers, AV teams, CG Sunday

Points of Policy

This is a 25 hours/week position, with wage to be set based on experience and qualifications. Specific office hours are flexible, but need to maintain consistency and should be set between 9am and 5pm, MWF for a total of 25 hours.

Initial wage will not be set below $15/hour.

The Office Manager will also deal with sensitive information regarding finances and other church business, and must be able to utilize discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Two weeks of vacation without pay will be allowed, to be negotiated with Pastor.

Office Manager will coordinate with other staff and volunteers to ensure sufficient coverage of office hours and tasks during any absence.

Seven days of sick leave are allowed per year.

Men’s Sexual Integrity Ministry Coordinator 5 Jun

FirstLight’s Men’s Sexual Integrity Ministry (MSI) helps men who have compulsive patterns of sexual sin in pursuing a deeper relationship with Jesus, sexual purity, and reconciliation in relationships. The MSI Coordinator will work under the guidance of the executive director to provide support groups for men in the ministry. The MSI Coordinator may also be asked to publicly teach about sexual discipleship, submit articles, and meet with men individually. Tasks 1. Facilitate Support Groups in accordance with the model of FirstLight. The MSI-Coordinator may be asked to facilitate anywhere from 3-5 groups per week. Groups are two hours. Most groups meet at night. The curriculum and philosophy of group is developed by the director. 2. Meet individually with director weekly to discuss participant needs, group dynamics, and ministry goals. 3. Participate in monthly prayer meetings for FirstLight Ministries. 4. Occasionally teach on pornography addiction, biblical sexuality, or other relevant topics for church groups. Submit articles for use in FirstLight newsletters and blogs. 5. When needed by the executive director, meet with group participants individually for intake and review meetings. 6. When requested, engage with FirstLight’s Development Team to help supporters learn about the ministry.

Qualifications:
The MSI-Coordinator must be a professing Christian and live in accordance with FirstLight’s beliefs regarding sexual ethics. He must be a member in good standing of an Evangelical Christian church. He must have experience in teaching others in the Christian faith. Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree related to Christianity, such as a Master’s in Counseling from a Christian program, Master’s of Divinity, etc. A personal testimony of recovery from sexual compulsive behaviors is a plus, but not required. He must be self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently.

Children’s Ministry Intern 1 Jun

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: This position is responsible for facilitating ministries to children from age two through grade six. As such, the intern should worship at CPC during the internship period. Position may include all the following activities at various times: • Serve: help lead and teach in the various ministries to have an understanding of the complete program (Children’s Worship, Sunday School, VBS, Kids Praise on Sunday evenings, etc.) • Curriculum development: plan and alter ideas to fit this body and adjust teaching to conform to our needs • Prepare: complete weekly material preparation for Sunday School classrooms and keep children’s ministries resources organized • Outreach: assist with our local outreach to children in public schools • Support: provide administrative and creative support in appropriate areas to the Director of Children’s Ministries • Oversee: shepherd at least one complete program at some time during the internship.

Purpose: The Children’s Ministries Intern works directly with the Director of Children’s Ministries in order to effectively prepare curriculum, materials, long range plans, and other support necessary for children’s ministries activities.
