Executive Ministry Assistant 1 Feb

The Executive Ministry Assistant provides ministry support to the Lead Pastor, Ministry Staff and Ministry Leaders. Areas of responsibility comprise a mixture of regular and ongoing duties as well as special projects and assignments.

Work flow and priority are to be determined collaboratively with the Lead Pastor during regular weekly meetings.

Areas of Responsibility:

Work Schedule:
Certain areas of responsibility require that work be done on site during the week. The work schedule is flexible and is to be built in collaboration with the Lead Pastor around his needs and requirements. Remote work is allowed via an established schedule communicated to the Lead Pastor or Supervisor, and upon his approval.

PART-TIME WORSHIP LEADER 11 Feb

We are looking for a converted man who is living a life consistent with the teachings of Jesus under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He must be committed to the local church ministry and desire to lead others into a deeper experience of God’s grace.
He will work closely with the Senior Pastor to help plan the worship service each week. He will make music selections and communicate them to the musicians and the projection team.
He must be proficient in either piano or guitar and able to lead others in singing.
He will lead and rehearse the praise band on Wednesdays from 7:00pm to 8:30pm and on Sundays from 8:15am to 9:00am. The Sunday worship service starts at 10:30am and goes to noon.
He will strive to understand the musical cultures of the church and the larger community and seek to reflect them in his style of leading worship and song selection.
We are looking at this as an opportunity to invest in someone who is preparing for full-time ministry. It is a ministry opening that comes with mentoring and support.

FirstLight Women’s Ministry Director 8 Feb

FirstLight Ministries is seeking a Christian woman to join their dynamic ministry team in the role of Women’s Ministry Director. FirstLight Ministries is an Evangelical ministry devoted to helping the sexually broken find hope and healing in Jesus Christ.

The Women’s Ministries Director (WMD) will provide leadership for two of FirstLight’s ministries, the FirstLight Spouses Ministry and FirstLight’s Women’s Sexual Integrity Ministry.
She will also assist in the operations of FirstLight’s Sexual Minority Ministry.
The WMD will be called on to provide church-based education on such topics as Biblical sexuality, betrayal-trauma, female sexual addictions, and other topics to both adults and
teenagers.
The WMD will recruit, train, and oversee volunteers serving in FirstLight’s women’s ministries.
The WMD will network with churches and Christian institutions in order to help them better address women’s sexual issues.

Requirements:
Candidates must:
Be a follower of Jesus Christ and a member in good standing of a Christian church that holds to the orthodox view of sexuality—that sex is limited to a man and a woman in the
covenant of marriage. Personal adherence to those teachings is required.
Provide a pastoral recommendation.
Hold a Master’s Degree or higher from a Christian Institution (i.e. MDiv, Christian Counseling Degree, Masters in Theology, etc.). A dual degreed individual with an
MDiv/MAC or MTS/MAC is preferred.
Be self-motivated and able to work with little oversight.
Be willing to work nights and visit with different churches on Sunday mornings when invited.
Have strong public speaking skills.
Possess a compassionate and caring disposition.
Be eager to be educated in issues pertaining to Christianity and sexuality through independent reading and attending out-of-state conferences and trainings.
The WMD will work in conjunction with the Men’s Ministry Coordinator, Development Team, and Administrative Coordinator. The WMC will report to the Executive Director.

Kingdom Scene Endeavors (www.kingdomscene.com), a St. Louis company that created the Christian faith-based brand and online game Lightgliders for kids ages 6 to 12, is seeking Game Moderators. This is a new position and a unique opportunity to create a safe, fun, and encouraging in-game community.

Game Moderators play the Lightgliders game, help out new players, and build community through in-game tools such as chat, gifting, and postcards.

Game Moderators help create fun in the game by leading games and conducting in-game events as directed by the Community Management team and calendar. Game Moderators also work to ensure a safe environment in the game.

Qualification:
The position of Game Moderator requires an enjoyment of playing online games and the ability to build community, lead games, and socialize with others using an encouraging tone, much like a camp counselor or youth pastor. Position Description: Beyond School Success Coach

Beyond School prepares students to enter high school with the social, emotional, and academic tools needed to be successful while in high school and beyond.

The Success Coach position for our Beyond School program requires someone who is great at connecting with students. The primary focus of the Success Coach’s work with students revolves around the students’ academic and social/emotional growth and getting them to cultivate habits that will result in life-long success. Chaplain 7 Jan

Job Information: Provides for the pastoral care needs of our residents, families and staff. Regularly meets with residents and others to help them more fully understand and deal with life’s events. Helps to maintain and enrich resident’s spiritual and emotional well-being. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Plans, coordinates and conducts regularly scheduled worship services designed to address the spiritual needs of residents.

2. Conducts planned interventions and/or takes advantage of spontaneous encounters with residents and their families with the purpose of meeting spiritual needs.

3. Organizes and conducts the memorial services at Aberdeen Heights to commemorate those residents who have passed.

4. Conducts hospital and hospice visits with residents of Aberdeen Heights who have been recently admitted.

6. Works closely with the Director of Life Enrichment and/or Life Enrichment staff to coordinate Chaplaincy programs and services.

7 Provides spiritual support to staff by responding to their spiritual requests or conducting in-service training of staff.

Requirements: Ordained clergyperson in good standing in the Presbyterian Church (USA), and have at least a Master of Divinity (M. Div.) degree. Have completed one quarter of Clinical Pastoral Education, and 5 years’ experience serving a local congregation as a pastor and/or associate pastor.
