Kids Admin at The Journey Tower Grove & The Journey West County 28 Sep

Description: The Journey Kids Administrator works to provide the smooth operation and administration of Journey Kids, specifically weekend services. He/she will ensure materials and resources are ready for the weekend and provide admin support for special events and initiatives. The job is part-time and will report to the Journey Kids Director. Some day to day responsibilities could include:

● Create and manage the volunteer weekend schedule,including last minute subs/swaps
● Coordinate the onboarding and off boarding processes for new volunteers
● Purchase needed supplies & hospitality for Journey Kids, classes and special events
● Manage registration, promotion and communication for JK events & initiatives
● Collaborate with the Creative Communication team to create design work (print pieces, web and in service slides, signage, etc.)

● Lead weekend prep team and ensure all curriculum materials and resources are ready for weekend services (including class supply bins and media components)
● Create and manage processes to ensure services run smoothly each weekend (hospitality, attendance rosters, spaces are equipped with necessary supplies, etc)
● Follow-up on facility and technology issues/updates with ministry support
● Provide initial follow-up with new families
● Become a “PCO expert” to manage the JK calendar, create monthly reports and provide
training support to JK greeters/service coordinators for PCO check-ins
● Reply to general JK communication requests (email,response cards, phone calls)
● Recruit and lead volunteer administrators to assist in providing admin support to Journey Kids
● Participate in weekly staff meetings and monthly all-staff meetings
● Assist the JK Director with other tasks as needed

Processing and Programing Assistant (Part-time) 20 Sep

Description: Under the supervision of the Director of International Student Services at Missouri Baptist, the Processing and Program Assistant is responsible for coordinating the undergraduate and graduate admissions process from initial contact with the University (MBU) to matriculation. Public Safety Opportunity 7 Sep

Description: We are currently seeking a student to join our Public Safety Team. The primary function of this job is unlocking public buildings in the morning and locking up the buildings at night. This role also acts as the dispatcher, which is a 24/7 on-call service provided by the Public Safety Team. The person in this role will provided on-call accessibility for a minimum of 2 days per week. As the dispatcher, you will take phone calls and provide customer service to callers.

Part-Time Employment at the Grace & Peace Winter Shelter, Fall/Winter 2018-2019 27 Sep

By God’s grace, Grace & Peace Fellowship (PCA) is about to begin its 33rd winter of sheltering homeless ladies here at our church building! We need some part-time, seasonal employees to fill out our leadership team in order to open the shelter on Wednesday evening, November 28.

Two Overnight Staff Positions are currently open. A Friday night Staff person would work from 6 p.m to approximately 6:15 a.m. Saturday morning, and a Saturday night Staff from 6 p.m. to approximately 9:15 a.m. Sunday morning.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate(s) will have some experience with urban ministry and/or interaction with homeless people, will be adult Christians with strong compassion and communication skills in written and verbal English, some volunteer supervision experience, and love of people. Duties include welcoming/registering guests, overseeing shelter on your night, once per week, same night; listening well to ladies; ensuring daily staff and volunteer tasks are completed, and schedule followed adequately to operate a warm safe, shelter in the name of Jesus Christ.

Pay: A stipend of $128 for Friday night overnight and $159 for Saturday, per night worked. Each Staff person usually works 1 night per week each week through the season. Sleeping is encouraged from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. This a Team-Based ministry and 5 team meetings during the winter, plus training on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 1:30-8 p.m. are required for employment.

There are also possible opportunities for Volunteer Coordinator and Meal Coordinator and some paid, daytime janitorial work. The Coordinators will need to be part of Grace & Peace Fellowship, and could begin immediately with largely computerized signups for overnight and evening volunteers.

The ideal candidates are adult Christians with strong communication skills, good attention to detail, comfortable with email and electronic as well as in-person and phone communication. They will have 3-15 hours available to work weekly at first, then as few as 3-5 hours per week, through mid-March, 2019. Some, but not all, of the work can be done remotely or from home. The positions do not require any overnight stays, but serving as a volunteer and/or preparing a meal one or more times would help with recruiting and ongoing volunteer preparation. Coordinators will also need to attend team meetings and training on November 18, 2018. Pay is hourly and between $10.35-$10.70 per hour. Janitorial work is a separate, very part-time seasonal position with hours M, W, Saturday. The jobs end when the Shelter closes at 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

Stephen Ministries—Program Staff 26 Sep

Children’s Ministry Assistant 19 Sep

Description: South County Baptist Church is looking for a Children’s Ministry Assistant. This person will serve part-time under the Pastor to Students in the various children’s ministries of South County Baptist, including but not limited to: Children’s Sports (Saturdays and some days throughout the week), Kids’ Sunday School, Kids’ Worship, our trailer park backyard Bible club (2 hours early Tuesday evening), AWANA (2 hours each Wednesday evening), and a Sunday evening program to be developed.

Regarding Sports, we will have two leagues throughout the year and we often partner with other churches to have combined seasons. Futsal (indoor soccer) takes place in the fall and basketball in the winter.

- Be available to coordinate and meet with other local children’s sports leaders and the South County Baptist Pastor to Students on occasion to discuss vision and effectiveness of the children’s sports ministry.

- Be willing to join South County Baptist Church for worship services on Sundays in order to build relationships with the children and families being ministered to (note: this does not require the candidate to become a member of South County Baptist Church, though that would be favored).

- Have an overall GPA of at least 2.5 and be in good standing with their institution.

No prior experience is required. Candidates that have a sports background are preferred, but this is not required. *Please note this is not just a sports management position; this is specifically a Christian ministry position that includes the element of sports ministry.
