This position reports to the Associate Pastor, and will involve a commitment of 10 hrs. per week, with compensation to be determined based on experience.

Qualifications (in order of importance):

• Love God – (Mk. 12:28-30) As a ministry leader in the church, you need not only a sound testimony of having received Christ in the past, but evidence of a healthy and growing relationship with Him in the present. First and foremost, the qualified candidate will love and pursue God passionately.

• Love Families – (Jn. 13:34-35) We believe that the family is the most basic building block of society and the church, God’s design for growing us to maturity. The qualified candidate will demonstrate a desire to come alongside our parents and support them in their important God-given role.

• Love Kids – (Mt. 19:13-14) Clichés notwithstanding, we truly believe our children are our future as a church, and our most worthy possible investment. The qualified candidate will possess a genuine heart for, an insightful mind towards, and relational giftedness and experience with kids.

• Love Tasks – (Ac. 6:1-4) We are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to get “down in the trenches” of ministry (think: prepping crafts, creating volunteer schedules, etc.) and free our pastors up to… pastor. The qualified candidate will be a task-oriented organizer who loves a good project.

To apply, please email résumé to Associate Pastor Will DuVal: willduval@westhillsstl.org

Student Pastor 29 Apr

CrossHaven Church is a Southern Baptist Church of 200-250 people in O’Fallon, MO. Our church is 11 years old and we have a need for a student pastor.

The students meet on Sunday nights (6:00-7:30 pm). (There’s a chance that our student ministry could shift to mid-week.) The student pastor would need to be present for our Sunday morning services. We also have monthly staff meetings (usually on a Monday night). We want the student pastor to be an active member in our church, not just someone who shows up once/week. Someone who will get to know people and build awareness and credibility for himself and the student ministry within the church as a whole.

We are looking for a student pastor who isn’t afraid to have some fun. Okay. Maybe it’s a little stronger than that. Having fun is a requirement! Boring candidates need not apply. Have you ever been to a lame, boring youth group? Yikes. That’s not what we hope to be.

We want someone who can:
- Create a fun environment
- Engage the students relationally
- Find the kid sitting by the wall all by himself and make him feel cared for
- “Work the crowd” at church on Sunday mornings to make sure any/all students are invited to join us on Sunday nights…and meet the parents too! You ought to work the crowd like a vacuum cleaner salesman! If he believes more in his product than you do, there’s a problem.
- Have enough awareness to realize that students “don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” In other words, you don’t expect them to be impressed with your Bible study if you haven’t taken the time to invest in them personally. We can’t compete with the entertainment of Hollywood, but we can love students better than anyone else. And whoever loves them best wins their hearts.
- Challenge the students spiritually. Make an impression “before the concrete sets.” They are still moldable. They’ll actually do what you tell them to do! No kidding! If you do it right, you can get the kids more on fire for Jesus than their parents are!
- Know how to work with a team of volunteers. Don’t expect them to follow you if you can’t motivate and inspire them. But if you do that, they’ll follow you anywhere.
- Have a personality. Don’t be afraid to show it. Don’t just show up with your Bible. Bring a squirt gun or something, man! These are teenagers, not little seminary students.
- Be ready to build upon a group of 15-20 regular students and see them grow into what God wants them to be.
- Be willing to take direction and to fit into the vision and philosophy of our church.

Qualifications: We don’t want someone who just wants a job. We want someone who is driven to excel, someone who wants to build a ministry as a labor of love, something they would be proud of. We want someone who wants to not just pick up a paycheck but someone who wants to bring students to Jesus, develop their relationship with Him, and send them out to impact the world.

Sound like something you would be interested in? Send us your resume! This is an opportunity just waiting for the right leader to come along. If you think if could be you, we’d love to hear from you!

Hours: 10-15 hours/week
Pay: $500-$1000/month

Nanny for Family in Chesterfield 19 Apr

Hello! We are looking for a loving, experienced nanny to join our family for 25 – 30 hours per week this summer and into the school year.

About Us:
We live in Chesterfield. We have three amazing (at least we think so) children, ages 4, 3 and 1. All three kids would be home during the summer, other than times during which our oldest two attend various camps. During the school year, the older two attend school M-F in the mornings, so care would primarily focus on our 1-year-old. Mom will be working outside of the home and Dad works from a home office.

Compensation, Hours & Start Date:
Compensation is $15/hour for 5 – 6 hours each day ($375 – $450 per week). Our ideal timeframe each day is 9AM – 2/3PM, though there might be room for adjustment. We would like to find the right fit for our family by the first week in May with a start date of May 9.

Responsibilities & Requirements:
—Fostering a safe, nurturing and FUN environment for our children
—Driving older children to and from camps and/or school as needed. If you’re ever needed to drive, you will have full use of our SUV
—Preparing a healthy lunch and snacks
—Maintaining consistent, daily routines
—Encouraging children to respect you, themselves and each other
—Performing domestic tasks as they relate to the children, including light laundry, cleaning dishes after meals and tidying up play areas

Qualifications & Experience:
—Prior nanny or childcare experience with references
—Experience or education in early childhood development strongly desired
—Comfort level in helping children see God’s hand at work in everyday life

Next Steps:
If you or someone you know is interested in learning more, please contact Shannon at shannon@shannonk.com or 636-346-6888. We are hoping to find the right fit for our family by early May.
