FORAI Sales Representative/Manager: 15 paid hours/month 4 May

Coordinate Sales: Research and coordinate the annual FORAI sale schedule (at least one sale per month). Propose sale schedule to Board/Director and then apply for participation in approved sales. Coordinate remote sales and create a plan for marketing “offsite” sales (local & out of state churches/individuals).

Prepare for Sales: Prepare tubs for upcoming sales (display items, product, cash box, sales records, bags, bookmarks, etc.). Track inventory and communicate any supplies needed at least two weeks prior to upcoming sales event.

Train for Sales: Provide training for volunteers and artisans who will help with sales events.

Communicate with & Coordinate Volunteers: Communicate regularly with artisans and volunteers about upcoming sales and staffing needs. Build vision in volunteers to include and encourage artisans to participate in sales events to share about their handicrafts with shoppers, practice English, build skills, develop relationships and a greater sense of community within FORAI.

Run/Staff Sales: Staff sales with volunteers and artisans as needed by communicating regularly about upcoming sales and staffing needs (if unable to personally run a particular sale, responsible for coordinating reliable volunteers to staff sale). Transport and set-up product & displays at monthly sales event. Keep accurate sales and product records. Return cash box, sales records, product and displays at end of each sale to director.

Preferred: Candidate should be self-motivated, outgoing, and have a personality for sales. Should be a good communicator and also be able to organize people and products. MUSIC DIRECTOR 22 May

The Music Director must have a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and a willingness to be submissive to the church leadership and the doctrines of the Church.

Primary Objective:

To coordinate the entire music ministry of the church.

Reporting Relationships:

The Music Director reports to the Pastor on a day-to-day basis. He or she reports regularly on his or her progress to the Session if necessary.

Responsibilities as Director:

1. Services: Employment shall include directing and/or coordinating music at all regular services of the church, our weekly midweek Grace4All services and certain extra services scheduled by the church such as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, the Thanksgiving dinner, and Christmas Eve, as well as other possible events that could arise.

2. Rehearsals: Employment shall include leading the music group at all regular midweek rehearsals and a brief Sunday rehearsal. Rehearsals for special music shall be arranged as needed.

3. Substitutes: In case of illness or other absence for personal reasons on the part of the Music Director, a substitute, if needed, is to be approved by the Pastor. The church will pay a substitute if needed.

4. Music Expenditures: The Music Director will purchase the music to be used by the special groups, and instrumentalists if needed. The Director is responsible to comply with and review the budget regularly.

5. Staff Meetings: The Music Director is expected to attend weekly staff meetings and be prepared to discuss ways that we can make the service better.

6. Additional Responsibilities: It will be the responsibility of the Music Director to plan music for all services of the church in cooperation with the Pastor. The Music Director is responsible for the scheduling of all musicians, audio/visual volunteers, and worship leaders. All musical groups, music selections, and music scheduling must be coordinated and approved by the Music Director. The Music Director will provide the titles and whatever information is needed for inclusion in the bulletin and the slides.

Compensation:
Compensation for the Music Director will be $1,000 for a month. The breakdown of an average workweek will be: 4 hours on Sundays; 2 hours for weekly staff meeting; 3 hours rehearsal / music review; 1 hour for Grace4All, and 1 hour for administration. The Music Director will be allowed 4 missed Sundays along with the previous week’s preparation in a calendar year, accumulated at 1 per quarter, without any loss in pay. Thereafter, there will be a loss of $250 for each Sunday missed.

DIRECTOR OF YOUTH MINISTRIES 6 May

Position: Part-time Open – To Be Filled ASAP

Job Description:
To minister to the middle school and high school youth of Spring Hills Presbyterian Church (SHPC) through servant leadership, assisting in their spiritual development, and to equipping them to serve God and others in the communities in which they live. SHPC is a thirteen year old church located in Byrnes Mill, MO and primarily serves northwest Jefferson County, which includes the Northwest School District.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Plan and develop a creative Youth Program for middle-school and senior high youth.
2. Develop and nurture one-on-one relationships by being a friend, leader and a positive Christian role model and mentor.
3. Oversee and teach Sunday School and Wednesday evening youth activities.
4. Recruit, equip, and motivate adult volunteers.
5. Work with other staff and volunteers to provide a well-rounded program of teaching, worship, and recreation.
6. Plan and coordinate camps, retreats, conferences, and trips.
7. Implement service/outreach projects and assist in mission projects as required.
8. Perform related duties as required and assigned by the Senior Pastor including periodic meetings to develop and report on youth ministries to leadership and parents.

Qualifications:
1. A heart for disciplining youth in Christ.
2. A vision and passion for outreach and evangelism.
3. A core belief in Reformed Theology including the Westminster Confession of Faith.
4. A vision and demonstrated ability to plan, develop, coordinate, implement, and manage an effective and Christ Centered youth ministry.
6. A proven ability to work effectively with youth, diverse individuals, and teams of volunteers.

Accountability:
The DYM will report to the Pastor of SHPC.

Expected Time Commitment and Compensation:
The position of DYM is a part-time position. The expectation of SHPC is that the DYM work approximately 10-15 hours/week and that the DYM will become an active member (or associate member when applicable) of SHPC. Remuneration will be discussed during the interview process.

Additional Opportunities:
As a member of the staff at SHPC, you will have opportunity to volunteer in other capacities in order for you to complete your Presbytery Internship requirements as well as your Supervised Field Education requirements.

Additional Expectations:
1. That the DYM meets with the Session in January, April, July, and October to update the Session on status and progress of the Youth Group.
2. That the DYM provide the Session with a Monthly Report which would include the names of each youth attending and any specific prayer needs for them. This Report to include a brief review of recent Youth events and any needs/prayer requests for upcoming events.
3. That the DYM follow-up on all visiting families with youth within 3-5 days.
4. That the DYM recruit and equip adult/parental volunteers to assist in ministering to the Youth as well as organizing and providing leadership for outreach/mission/service projects, retreats, camps, etc.
5. That the DYM develop, implement, and communicate to the congregation a plan for summer activities prior to Easter each year (the plan to include a summer retreat/event/trip which would include incoming students).
6. That the DYM assist the SHPC webmaster with the development and maintenance of the Website for the SH Youth.
7. That the DYM organize and recruit leaders for a Youth Outreach Event to be held in May/June as an “End Of School” type of event.
8. That the DYM develop and implement a plan to contact/connect face-to-face with the youth and their families on a consistent basis. This might include recruiting a female volunteer to meet with our female youth on a one-on-one basis.
9. That the DYM organize and implement, at least quarterly, a Parent/Youth night dinner and program.
